Daylesford Delights
The last day of the holidays...autumn..sun shining but wind cold..fresh chestnuts...a market at the railway station...fresh produce...cosy lunch at Cliffy's...retail therapy in beautiful shops...it's hard to beat a day in Daylesford. Longer next time I think!
I love Daylesford, that whole area in fact. My Mum has just bought a house at Woodend so we have lots of future trips planned. Autumn is especially beautiful.
My sister in law's family has a house in daylesford but it's a bit run down....the price is right for a weekend stay tho......if you don't mind huddling in one room around the heater!!! Mmmmm...cosy! I made chestnut soup out of those lovely fresh chestnuts....fiddly but delicious!
